Money-Saving Special for New Patients
Limited Time Offer – Velscope Oral Cancer Screening
One of the most consistent comments we receive from our new patients is that the comprehensive exam is the most thorough dental evaluation they have ever experienced. With the use of dental loops for magnification, and an intra-oral camera, we are able to perform a high quality, detailed examination.
During your initial exam, we take X-rays, and screen for cavities, gum disease and TMJ problems. We evaluate how your jaw comes together and your desired cosmetic end result. We also take intra-oral pictures of your teeth so you can see the areas of your mouth that only the doctors typically see. In honor of oral cancer awareness month for April we are including for new patients a Velscope Oral Cancer Screening test, see below for details.
Your comprehensive exam also includes a follow-up consultation with the doctor to discuss any dental issues you have and necessary treatment you might need in order to achieve a healthy smile. We also discuss your dental insurance benefits and all the fees up front. In summary:
- Comprehensive dental exam
- Necessary X-rays
- Bite analysis
- Cosmetic evaluation
- Oral cancer screening
- Gum disease screening
- Consultation with a doctor for up to 30 minutes
- Velscope Oral Cancer Screening (April only)

April Is Oral Cancer Awareness Month
According to the National Cancer Institute more than 21,000 men and 9,000 women in the United State annually receive oral cancer diagnoses resulting in close to 8,000 deaths. Oral cancer kills one person every hour in the US alone. If found early, oral cancer’s five year survival rate is 80% to 85%. If found late, oral cancer’s five year survival rate is only 50%.
